In the interview with The Wall Street Journal today the trump told that Apple CEO Tim Cook planning to build "three big plants" in the U.S. as part of the Trump administration's push to return manufacturing jobs to this country. Most of the iPhone are designed in the U.S., is assembled overseas, primarily in China, where labor costs are lower and the supply chain of components is already in place.

But this is going to change because apple is planning to build 3 huge production plants in USA. Apple has indicated that it's at least open to bringing back some manufacturing work to the U.S, even if that work is done by other companies. Back in May, Cook said that Apple will spend $1 billion to promote advanced manufacturing jobs in the U.S. As part of that program, Apple's already invested $200 million in Corning to support research and development and glass production at a Kentucky plant. Corning makes Gorilla Glass, a protective material found in many smartphones.

Foxconn, a major Apple supplier, is also said to be planning its first US factory. That factory may well produce products for Apple, though it wouldn’t be an Apple-owned factory .

This has been a sticking point for Trump for a long time. On the campaign trail, he repeatedly called out Apple for its reliance on foreign manufacturing. “I'm going to get Apple to start making their computers and their iPhone's on our land, not in China,” he said during a speech last March. “How does it help us when they make it in China?”.

Aside from that, Apple has largely declined to comment on its manufacturing plans

the conclusion :the devil's in the details and until we hear more of those from Apple, it's unclear just what impact this will have on your next iPhone or iPad.

Seems Trump is making a difference. Only time will tell if it's for the better. Bringing jobs back to America is a noble gesture but we may be looking at a $2000 iPhone!

Maybe not though.. I'm sure they will try to implement as much automation as possible.

but by the time the apple start production i think will may not be the president because they still not yet start the building the plant

That is true.. yet, Trump 2020! Haha
