Media reports described as close to Apple revealed that the next iPhone 8 will depend on the structure of glass instead of metal in order to provide the most important feature in all smart phones.
Apple decided to rely on the glass structure instead of the metal to provide the wireless charging feature in the iPhone 8 without the need to connect to the power outlet, according to a report by the company's website Mark Marks.
The website quoted financial analyst Ming Chi-koo at KGI Securities as saying that Pegatron would be Apple's exclusive provider of units that provide wireless charging in the phone.
Other leaks that began in early November indicated that Foxconn, the Chinese company that collects iPhone phones, is testing wireless electronic charging modules that may rely on the iPhone 8.
The possibility of adopting these units in wireless charging depends on how efficiently they can provide the amount of electricity needed to charge the phone battery, the website added.
In September, Apple launched two copies of Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and won a big competition from Google's Pixel.
