How to recover data from a corrupt Memory card or USB Drive?

Well, even though I am not a technical guy, but this is a real life problem we all face. So recently I found the solution in a website and it worked for me. hence thought of sharing it with you guys. Hope it will help you!

Step 1:
Your plugged it in to your laptop or PC and your machine recognized it as a drive and gave it a letter. But when you click on it, you get an error box with a message.

Step 2:
Time for little command magic! Hit the START menu > RUN> type CMD to bring up the command panel.

Step 3:
In the command prompt, type Chkdsk e: /r. The e: tells which drive to use and /r command tells that the drive needs to be repaired.

Step 4:
You may see the warning that your drive is not a windows XP drive - But that is not an issue. YOU CAN CONTINUE BY PRESSING Y TO CONTINUE.

Step 5:
When it is almost complete, it will ask you if you want to save lost chains into files or not. You may choose yes, if you plan to use it.

Step 6:
chkdsk will report back on what it has done and then go to my computer and check your drive.

Step 8:
Your drive should open at this point with all the data.
