You may think this is lame at first sight, but it's really necessary. And for me as a Google Tour Guide (which is actually free to become), it should sound more.... "lamer"
The National Digital Property Address System, is expected to make it easier for locations to be found across the country and also boost emergency service delivery.
In the direction of attaining a digital address system, Ghana Post Company Limited has partnered with Vokacom Ghana to develop an application for data collection.

Having worked as a data collection agent and supervisor during my 1 year mandatory Nation Service, I know a thing or two about grid and location address systems.

The system seeks to assigns each section of a 5m x 5m squares land area one a unique address, known as a digital address. With this system, every land and property gets a permanent address.
The system is location-based and it is expected to provide an effective means of providing an address to every location and place in the country, including undeveloped parcels of land, using an information technology application (app).
Actually, this data has been collected by NaWaBin and can either be used as backup or for validation.
The app is to generate a unique code for every property or location in Ghana with the use of the Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.
A national address registry system will enable individuals to validate their home and business addresses for easy direction and identification.

STOPThis is a great idea and an excellent use for GPS. I think maybe it would be preferred over current methods in other countries, except we had a system that we were using when GPS came along. Thank you for sharing.
Yeah, as for our end the old methods weren't working, that is even if one was there. We hope for the best with this project
