Evolution of telephones
Alexander Graham Bell, a Scottish immigrant who lived in the United States and was a deaf-mute teacher, experimented with a harmonic telegraph when his assistant, Thomas Watson, pulled the transmitter's string and emitted a different sound. The sound was heard by Bell on the other end of the line. The telephone was born by chance on the night of June 2, 1875.
The invention was patented on March 7, 1876, but entered into history on March 10, 1876. On that day, the electric transmission of the first complete message was made by the newly invented apparatus. Graham Bell was on the top floor of an inn in Boston, United States. Watson worked downstairs and answered the phone, which had jingled. He heard, astonished, "Mr. Watson, come here. I need to talk to you." He ran to the attic from which Bell had phoned. It was a long story. The history of telecommunications, which would revolutionize the world from then on.
