Connection of solar panel cells
Solar panels can be connected in modules meaning a set of two's or more in parallel and two's or more in series.this is usually done for certain reasons to increase panel usage series connection increases voltage of the panels, two 12 volts, 18amp panels connected in series results in 24volts,18amp connection and parallel connection increases current of the connections while voltage remains steady now if you have two of those modules I.e 4 panels 2 each connected in series to increase the voltage and you connect the 2 modules in parallel you would have a 24volts, 36amp connection of a single module. These is used in solar farms to boost the production of power, several of panels would be connected in series first then later connected in parralel.this makes the panel usage more efficient.There are several types of solar connections which are shown in the picture below. I will pick different types of solar connection and speak on each showing the difference between each.
