Hey fellow Steemitians

Just wanted to share a project I've been working on for work - The Pavlok 2.

Three years ago, we raised $284,000 on IndieGogo for Pavlok --- the first wearable designed to break bad habits and reduce cravings (smoking, nail biting, overeating sleeping in, etc) at the push of a button.

After 3 years of research and 45,000+ users, meet Pavlok 2. Pavlok 2 is the first behavior change platform. very interesting idea.... what exactly is it reacting on and who says this (smoking for example) is good or bad habit? can you program it on what to react to or how does it work? how does it know i want to smoke for example?^^

Great question @schlees -- right now, for smoking, for instance, you actually intiate the shock yourself. However, with pavlok 2 (in September) the hardware can actually be programmed to know which "hand motions" are bad -- with user added data.

Yeah I saw this on Shark Tank, I must say, I agreed with Robert, if you have the willpower to shock yourself, you probably have the will to give up smoking.

Though that said, it clearly worked for you and others so, all good!

I totally understand your perspective, which is why Pavlok 2 is moving towards making habit change as 'automatic' as possible.

Yup, that's what I thought when watching it, if he could somehow make it an auto function, it would make an absolute mint.

Honestly, I like the concept - but, as has been stated, if you have the discipline to already shock yourself, it kind of defeats the purpose of even needing this, wouldn't you think?
