Overview

Have you ever looked at a phone and said, "It looks good, but it's too expensive?" Well, I might have the phone for you, the Motorola Moto G6. And don't overlook it just because it isn't made by the big phone companies like Samsung and Apple, because this phone is one of the best at the $200-$300 price point. Just have a look at this specs list:

  • Android 8.0 Oreo
  • 5.7 inch 2160x1080 IPS LCD screen
  • 12MP+5MP Dual Camera
  • Snapdragon 450
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB ROM
  • 3,000 mAh Battery

# **Hardware - 8/10**

The hardware of the Moto G6 is great for the price. Good build quality is comparable to some more expensive phones. The internals (Snapdragon 450+4GB of RAM) is more than enough to run day to day tasks on your phone, like messaging, calling, taking notes, watching cat videos, etc. The 64GB of storage is also enough for most people and is comparable to some flagships, such as the S9. I would definitely recommend this for most.

The Moto G6 is running the latest version of Android, Oreo. Motorola said it will be updated to Android Pie later. This is great because Motorola still supports their phone's software months in the future, unlike some other phones (samsung ehem) The G6 runs a almost pure stock version of Android, which is good because it provides the slickness, smoothness, and support of stock Android, while adding a few software features specific to Motorola phones. This makes Motorola phones a bit unique compared to stock Android phones.

The Moto G6 is updated to have the modern, tall, hard to reach the top, 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The fingerprint sensor is still placed in front though, unlike other tall phones. On the back, the Moto G6 has a dual camera module and not much else. In short, it is a beautiful phone, but it is still limited by the fact that it is a budget phone, on, you know, a budget.

# **Overall - 24/30**

It is a good phone, one of the best in the market, especially for this price range. Don't overlook it in search of other, flashier phones that will impress all your friends for two seconds, like the Note 9 and the iPhone X. If you're on a budget and you need a good phone, steal one (not recommended, also illegal) or buy the Moto G6.
