Technofriday : Correspondant - weird, sexy and fucked up (EN/DE)

for this weeks #Technofriday I want to introduce you to my favourite label of the past few years -

Correspondant is the ongoing enterprise of Jennifer Cardini, established in 2011 in conjunction with renowned worldwide distributor, Kompakt Records.
Jennifer is a resident DJ of Rex Club in Paris. She is best known for her downtempo, cinematic mixing of warm-up sets at Rex.

Correspondant's music releases could be best described as downtempo, weird, sexy and fucked up. This is usually not peak time music. It's much better as warm up or afterhour or for listening at home.
My personal journey through techno got me here. When I first got into techno, tracks couldn't be hard enough. Over the course of twenty years this changed a lot - like techno itself changed a lot. Correspondant is the perfect example for what I love these days. Slower, more melodic and fucked up music that pushes the boundaries of what techno means. People often tag this music as NuDisco or Indie Dance - thats fine to try to come up with a fitting description though in the end its all Techno.

But enough of my words, I'll let the music speak for itself.

Correspondant's Musikveröffentlichungen lassen sich am besten als Downtempo, seltsam, sexy und abgefuckt beschreiben. Dies ist in der Regel keine Peak-Time Musik. Es ist viel besser als warm up oder afterhour - oder einfach für zu Hause.
Meine persönliche Reise durch Techno hat mich hierher geführt. Als ich zum ersten Mal mit Techno anfing, konnten Tracks nicht hart genug sein. Im Laufe von zwanzig Jahren hat sich das sehr verändert - so wie sich der Techno selbst sehr verändert hat. Correspondent ist das perfekte Beispiel für das, was ich heutzutage liebe. Langsamere, melodischere und abgefuckte Musik, die die Grenzen dessen, was Techno bedeutet, überschreitet. Die Leute bezeichnen diese Musik oft als NuDisco oder Indie Dance - das ist gut, wenn man versucht, eine passende Beschreibung zu finden, aber am Ende ist das alles Techno.

Aber genug meiner Worte, ich werde die Musik für sich selbst sprechen lassen.
