China start new regulations ban online content that is not "socialist enough" specifically video content.

Last Friday, the China Netcasting Services Association, a governmental group announced the new internet posting regulations. Two auditors would be required from then on to check online contents from films, videos, documentaries, sports, education, and animation movie, blogs, social media posting ...

All contents belong to the list below will be investigated by officials and their website will be shut down:

religious material, insults about China, explicit violence or sexual promiscuity (including incest and masturbation), gambling, any genitalia, smoking, killing endangered animals, foul language and sex-ed videos will also be banned, as the rules consider them vulgar.

All contents belong to the list below will be encouraged:

patriotism, praises to the motherland, positive historical material, filial piety, and stories about helping the poor.

China was already blocking site that included pornography, religion, and news that portrayed China negatively in the early day, this new regulations was mainly target video content as video content are exploding in china, especially on social media.

Along with this new regulations, the China’s department for policing media also start scoring content with 100 points as max. all content below 60 points will be publicly criticized and banned from winning any awards. Scoring will based on " socialist values " (how related is the content to the things that encouraged by the government).

This create fear in netizens as people believed the government can reach them even in the gray area of the web.
