$4000, 24 hours, a brand new house??

It sounds a bit ridiculous, but it's actually possible now thanks to some awesome people and some even cooler technology.

New Story, a housing non-profit, and Icon, an applied tech company, have partnered to create The Vulcan 3d printer, a large format printer that can print with concrete. This new tech allows them to print an 800 sq ft house in less than a day for only a few thousand dollars.

They intend to use this tech to combat homelessness and poverty around the world. They already have a project of 100 homes lined up for 2019 in El Salvador.

This is another great example of how applied technology is changing the world we live in.
