They are dumping enough money into the tech and equipment. I've heard stories about silver, titanium ect.. in asteroids. Only a matter of time I guess. Also the mining will get us in space sooner. It always starts by exploration for monetary gains, but opens up for the masses eventually.

today's poor, in developed countries, live better than royalty did two hundred years ago.
