Brain surgery gone wrong
I wanted to upgrade the processors on my Xeon machine, this one is kinda old but still very powerful, I thought the only thing I needed to check was the socket, but I was wrong, apparently I needed to check the bus speed too, it turns out it doesn't even boot.
