Weigh Your Words Before Speaking It Out
To weigh something means "to check the weight of an object or what impact the weight of that object will have when placed on a lighter or heavier object".
In physics we were taught that "matter is anything that has weight and occupy space".

With the above introductory note, I will like to say that the words we speak have weight and occupy space in the minds and hearts of those we speak those words to.
Words spoken are invisible like the wind but the impact of those words goes a long way to either create positive or negative impact depending on the maturity of the one receiving the word.
People speak rough words to their fellow humans and they don't care about what impact those words will make in the lives of those they are speaking roughly to. Many marriages, friendship, relationship etc has being destroyed today because of careless usage of words which in turn creates an atmosphere of anger, bitterness, wrath, malice or even murder because those words were not really weighed by a speaker or they never put themselves in the position of the hearer.
People are frustrated and even go as far as committing suicide because in most cases there was non available to give words of hope, peace and comfort to that frustrated fellow who feels his or her pains is worst than that of others. They only saw the uselessness of themselves because of too many negativity in the mind.
Some children today are too afraid to relate with others, not because they lack boldness but parents contributed in bringing them down through the use of negative words; good for nothing child, idiot, foolish child etc and these words goes a long way to kill a lot of potentials in that child. Please wonderful parents, mind the words you speak into the lives of your children, they can build or destroy that child from tender age.
Stop killing people with your words but rather let your words motivate people to greatness, let it build people and not tear them down.
Hey @inspiredgideon1. Really good post and you present a very sound point. Words can literally kill as you mentioned. It's really sad how people do not utilize positive words more often to the others around them
That's because they lack awareness and understanding. A person who is aware of the effect of the words they speak will be careful about what comes out of their mouths.

Some folks don't know this. You could even kill your very self with toxic negative talk. What has helped me is to stop, pause and think about what effect I wish to create with what I say.
