CRITICS HELP YOU SUCCEED MORE
The word critic has two meaning but I will go with the one which concerns this topic.
People best describe critics as "enemies of progress" because the feeling of people is that critics have nothing good to offer rather than to always oppose a person doing well, seeing the flaws of people but never talking about the good part where they are doing well.
To some extent, calling them enemies of progress is a good description but to me I see them as advertisers of one's progress.
A Nigerian musician in one of his songs, said something very striking and very true;

No one will ever criticize you if you are not making any progress in life. A person that is seen as a failure in life does not need critics because nothing good seem coming out of the entire being of such a one and no need fighting a person that is already down in life. It is only those putting in effort that will always have critics.
Hear me and hear me clearly!
Critics are able to notice you because you are doing outstanding thing(s) in life. Yes they can't meet up to your standards and therefore they are doing everything possible to bring you down to their level of joblessness and lack of impact.
A busy person in life will never have time to criticize other people who are also making progress.
When next they criticize your good effort on a baseless ground then congratulations to you because you have attained what is beyond them.

Yeah.....you've made a point. It's true that a critique could be as a result that you are making progress, I also believe it's because you need to stop re evaluate your choices and move on. We shouldn't totally ignore it. It may be a game changer for us. Thanks...my first time to read on this matter.
