I LOST HER EXACTLY 8 YEARS NOW

in #teardrops6 years ago

We've all had reasons to cry about one thing or the other. Words from loved ones doesn't even seem to console or comfort a dying soul on our inside crying for help and wishing we can bring back lost people, identity or lost dream.

At about 7pm that night when everyone was excited that the long illness that boxed my sister in the house for months had finally left her. That morning, it was all shouts of joy when she shared her testimony about how she felt good and better from that seemingly gone illness. She was bedridden for months and couldn't even stand up. That morning, she got up and jumped for joy seeing that she is regaining her strength.

No one knew that the happiness was going to be short-lived. No one could tell that that was going to be a pre-jubilation on her part to her final destination which is the Father's place, where she can finally rest and be fine, where no sickness can tame her or wound her soul.

For the first time in months, she ate all she could that day, called friends and enjoyed every moment, believing she was finally healed. My joy knew no bounds as the next planning was to picture and work at her wedding skated for December that year (2000).

After the joy, then came the hour. Just like a dream, at about 7pm, she fainted, got back up and fainted again, and that was the last breath.

Its 8 years now and still feels like yesterday.

She died of brief illness as English language will call it, even if the sickness lasted for more than 2 months. Today, I remember how kind hearted she was. How dogged and how beautiful her heart is. She would go all out and all the way just to put smile on anyone's face. She is down to earth and ready to make everyone happy even if it costs her, her own happiness.

She is the totality of what @surpassinggoogle calls "Awesomeness".

I remember her today "Oluwabunmi Phoebe" and I'm all teats and at the same time grateful that we will meet again.

Tears of sorrow is now tears of joy knowing that she is secured and safe wherever she is. I love her and will forever.

Thanks @surpassinggoogle for helping us relive our pains and somewhat sad stories with laughter and believing there is these happy ending.

You said and I quote "There is light in the tunnel and not just at the end".

May all our tears dry up and joy fill our hearts.
