RE: My Grandpa, the INVENTOR!!! A True South African Story.

Wow @therneau, this certainly tugs at my heart strings as we all know just how generous a man Oupa was with not keeping tips and tricks to himself, but wanting to share his skills with others. Will read your story to Ouma and I thank you, it is something that does not sit right with one and bothers at times! Would like to share my story about my car that always 'cut out' when slowing down, not idling properly. This worried Oupa incessantly and he tried replacing all sorts of parts, got expert opinion, but nothing worked. This was quite a problem in heavy traffic and went on for about 3 years. Well, about a week after Oupa died, I suddenly realised my car was idling beautifully! I drove that car for another 2 years, and @deanoza after me, and it never gave problems with idling again! It may sound crazy, but knowing Oupa's obsession with fixing that problem, I believe that somehow he fixed it from 'the other side' :) Our angel Oupa, Ouma's teddy bear, gone but never forgotten!

Thank you @lizelle :):) I do hope Ouma enjoys it :) Wow, I never knew about the car story. I was in Cape Town by that time already. Ouma's teddy bear :):):)
