Self reliance and attaining wealth

I recently started my new job at Itec which is an advanced office automation company. In this first week there we have been given some sales training. Please note I have been in sales for a good few years now. We were watching some video's from Jordan Belford. For those who do not know who that is, he is the Wolf of Wall Street. He was making 49million dollars a year back in the 90's!!!
Some people say he got lucky, others say he was just one of those 1 in a million who was able to do it. I say differently. All of us have the ability to become extremely wealthy if we do 2 simple things.

First is find out what you want to do to make money. You can do anything and make money from it.

Second is to specialize your work. In the old days they said becoming a Jack-of-all-trades was the way to become successful, nowadays it's the way to make ends meet because everyone can do a little bit of everything, whereas if you specialize Like Jordan did, you will be able to make a career out of it and not just a job.

Jordan specialized in stock brokerage. When he came across the penny shares where he could make 50% commission instead of 1% he was able to capitalize on the opportunity and make a huge success from it. If he was simply a Jack'o then he would have only just made a living.

All of us who want to be successful work hard, thats a given. as we apply that with the first and second principle we will see long-term success and wealth generation.
