Wow! It has been a week since our official launch of Team South Africa and the reception has just been amazing! We definitely have a dedicated team that wants to grow, not only themselves, but the community as a whole. It’s incredible to see us South Africans unite!

During this past week we’ve seen some real quality posts from our members and have even had some excellent interaction on our Discord server. Kudos to all the kiff Saffas taking part!!

Even though Team South Africa is still in its infant stage, we are constantly working in the background to see how we can help each other out as a community. We are busy working on various ways on how to achieve this, but would like to inform you of one of these ways today - so here it goes - drum roll please…

The @teamsouthafrica account has been setup to place an automatic 10% upvote for all member posts (that contain the teamsouthafrica tag)!¹

Even though our vote does not count for much at this stage, we have also created a curation trail² for @teamsouthafrica. @dragonslayer109 has graciously followed the trail with a 1% upvote for everyone! In our next post we will explain how you can also join the curation trail to help support your fellow Saffas 🇿🇦

To have your posts qualify for an automatic upvote, make sure you meet the following criteria:

1. Be an official Team South Africa member
You can confirm if you are an official member by checking if @teamsouthafrica follows you here. If you are not a member as yet, please see the instructions further down.

2. Use the teamsouthafrica tag on all posts
Make sure that all your posts contain teamsouthafrica as one of your tags. This can even be the last tag. Without this tag, you will not receive an upvote.

Keep your eyes open for our post tomorrow with detailed instructions on how to join our curation trail to show your support to your fellow team members. And remember, we are working on other means to help us support each other too - this is only the tip of the iceberg 😉 So stay tuned for even bigger and better ways that we will be helping each other to support one another!!!

The @teamsouthafrica account will follow all official members back - this is the ONLY official list of members. View the current list here.
2. Follow and upvote any existing members of Team South Africa that you share a common interest with (no need to follow all members).
3. Regularly check the #teamsouthafrica recent tags and upvote the content you like.
4. Comment here or DM me on Steemit.Chat or Discord informing me you would like to join.
5. Once you’re a member, remember to use the tag #teamsouthafrica as one of the tags on your posts.
6. The official Team South Africa banners and logos are only allowed to be used by official members or with consent from myself. When using a banner, it has to be linked to here and credit has to be given to the author.
7. These rules can change at any time. Please always make sure you are checking the latest post for the latest rules.

Please contact me so I can arrange to get you your Team South Africa banner (with your name on). I’ll send you the actual "code" you can copy and paste which will add the banner, link it, and credit the author at the same time.
