This Classic Christmas Trifle Recipe is a dream for all occation especially for the Holidays! Very delicious and yet easy and quick in preparation. 💗💗💗

Classic Christmas Trifle Recipe ❤️

Ingredients

2 x packets raspberry jelly crystals (or Mr. Gulaman flavored jelly)
500g small strawberries
250g raspberries
1 cup blueberries
200g sponge cake, cut into 3cm cubes
1/3 cup(80ml) sweet sherry
500g mascarpone cheese
2 x 500g cartons vanilla bean custard
600ml thickened (heavy) cream
2 tbsp icing sugar (confectioners’ sugar)

Procedure

Follow jelly or gulaman cooking instructions listed in the package directions. Pour jelly or the gulaman mixture into a 3 litre (12-cup) glass serving the bowl or trifle bowl. Any large glass bowl is feasible.

Slice 250g of the strawberries in to half; Arrange sliced strawberries and half of raspberries around the sides of the bowl with the jelly. Let it chill for 1 hour or until jelly is firm.

In a another bowl, add the cake cubes and drizzle with the sherry; slightly toss to the coat evenly.

In other bowl, cream mascarpone and the custard in a the large bowl with hand mixer until soft peaks form. Pour the custard mixture over jelly (2nd layer) and smoothen top with spatula. 3rd layer, will be the soaked cake cubes.

In another bowl, beat cream and half the sifted icing sugar until soft peaks form. Transfer cream over cake for the 4th layer.

Garnish the trifle with remaining raspberries, strawberries and blueberries on top.

Serve chilled and enjoy!
