We've been trying! Getting people back into the curation game doesn't happen overnight.
The analogy works. Set a low expectancy threshold and it's harder to be disappointed.

There are no Kiwi trannies - they are all from Aus! :)
In the same way that I can't tell the difference between Canucks and Yanks, I don't think most of them distinguish between Kiwis and Aussies, other than knowing it winds us up to swap us over so they do it constantly - I know I would do the same!
