Bao Sheng Durian Farm

Category: Retreat

Brief Description: A durian farm located in Balik Pulau hill where you can eat unlimited durians, drink unlimited coconuts and stay in a cozy villa. The place is built in the middle of the forest so you’ll get to immerse yourself in the midst of nature and soak up the sounds of water and tree leaves.

Suggested Duration: 2 days 1 night

Remark: This is a durian and coconut buffet. Once you’ve checked in, the staff will start to open up durians for you to eat until meal time. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is local Penang food. Best time to go is June - August, as this is durian season. Be sure to check their Facebook page for durian season announcements.

Penang Botanical Garden

Category: Nature & Wildlife

Brief Description: Also known as Waterfall Gardens, Penang Botanical Garden is a public park situated on Jalan Air Terjun in Georgetown. The garden is covered with lush-tropical rainforest. You will enjoy the tranquility and lush-greenery here. It also houses many collections of plants and animals.

Remark: Often traffic jams during peak hours (early morning and late evening). Plenty of available parking but during the peak hours, you may need to park up to 1km away.

Entopia

Category: Nature & Wildlife

Brief Description: Comprised of The Natureland, the Living Outdoor Garden, and The Cocoon, the indoor discovery centre is a place where insects and butterflies roam around freely. Be amazed by over 150 species of fauna and 200 species of flora within the Entopia exhibition.

Suggested Duration: 3 hours

Remark: Be sure to bring extra batteries and memory cards for your camera. The sanctuary is hot and humid (much warmer than outdoor temperature). Important to dress comfortably especially when outdoor temperature is high (above 35C).

The Habitat - Penang Hill

Remark: Best way to travel by funicular train. Penang Hill is not easily accessible by most modes of public transport, so best to plan your trip accordingly.
