Sabah Steemit Meet Up > Pay With Steem/SBD

Not sure if I have mentioned during our last meet up at JL Cafe run by @beverlyjoe, I have been paying using SBD for my dinner and @gelfire's too. @beverlyjoe is a local champion, he was one of the main organisers to Steem Charity for the San Damiano Boys Hostel and now he is running this cafe accepting steem from us something I am proud to share to all.

@danieldoughty has called on to this meet up as we have a few agendas to discuss on, something big and something we would share when the time is right. The momentum of Steemit in this region has gone a step level higher, where the community would like to see growth and this is where we come in to assist.

During the meetup, myself and @danieldoughty shares our thoughts on certain projects and also the upcoming big event in Sabah. #teammalaysia extensively preparing lots of work towards this project and ready to roll. We update on the Volunteers Work Role, Schedule, Pay With Steem initiative, and also the sideline, we still talk about #steemhunt, #teammalaysia, #steempress, #promo-steem.

This region in Sabah is growing steadily in their members, and there is a need to organise soon a Steemit Bootcamp, which myself and @danieldoughty are in talking about a couple of weeks back. Even a Steemit Masterclass also needed by some members. We have seen many on board, but writing a good basic content is the hurdle for most. We would look into that very soon.

As the meetup journeys to end, most steemians realize that Steemit now is a family thing. It's like a hobby with lots of love and care, plus you can earn a few bucks from it. I believe this is what a Community is all about, Friendship, Fellowship, Lots of Laughter and Love, and Helping one another. This is the power of #steemit connecting people from nobody to friends.

Oh, By the Way, I have transferred and Pay with SBD 6.5 to @beverlyjoe for the beers and Food during the meetup, not a single cents I came out. How awesome is that we write, we earn and we spend it using steem and SBD. Dammm that's fucking cool. I still remember my first time paying with Steem and SBD at @danielwong Burger Joint in Kuala Lumpur, what an experience and surreal. @beverlyjoe return to me 0.500 SBD, saying I paid too much. Ini baru lahh! Thanks Again Bro.
