Malaysia Hills

Cameron Highlands located in Pahang is one of ther highest hills in Malaysia. It is 1500 metres above sea level. The place is generally cool with its hottest temperature only as high as 24°C while its coolest is 16°C. The strawberry and vegetable farms, tea and cactus plantations, flower gardens and butterfly parks are very popular with tourists.

Fraser’s Hill in Pahang is 1200 metres above sea level. When you are at Fraser’s Hill, you feel that you are in scotland. Many colonial buildings here are built from granite with Tudor architecture. The rose gardens and pine trees are great to look at. The most popular part of this place is the Market Square. A clock tower covered in ivy stands in the centre of the square. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching at Fraser’s Hill too.

Penang Hill or Bukit Bendera is 830 metres above the ground. There used to be a 150-metre long canopy walk. Visitors can pay to ride on a jeep or take the hill train to the top if the hill where they can catch a breathtaking view of Penang.

Maxwell Hill is the wettest hill in Malaysia. It is 1250 metres above sea level. It is 10 kilometres away from Taiping town. Visitors can see many colonial buildings and flower gardens here. It is also the best place for birdwatching as much of the forest here is still Undisturbed. There is also a war cemetery to remember the British Soldiers.
