Conquering The Great Wall
The Seven Wonders of the World - Who doesn't want to visit and see with your own eyes. I had been to one of it... The Great Wall of China. That was in 2010 with a group of pilgrimages headed by my cousin Annie.
We reached Shuiguan Section of Great Wall-Badaling starting point at 1.00pm. As our group has more veterans than youngsters, only few of us had climbed and reached the last station.
Along the journey, I thought I wanted to gave up but the encouragement from my nephew who is with me along the climb had made me through. You imagine without any exercise before the climbed, I had managed to reach the top.. This has been a big achievement so far in my life 😅.
A bit about Badaling section according to Google, this section has total length of 7.5miles(12km) with 43 watchtowers. However, only 2.3miles (3.74km) and 19 watchtowers have been restored and opened to visitors. Can you imagine how far it is and this is not flat grounds, but stairs 😅 fuhhh.. really tough one.. but the feeling when you reached the top was so memorable and full of satisfaction.

Thanks for sharing. I had not been Beijing yet. I will save your tips. Most tourist like to go Badaling Great Wall but it is a bit commercial. This ShuiGuan is better.
