Why must give red envelopes

Chinese people love red color and the meaning as the symbol of energy, happiness and good luck. Money in red envelopes is believed to bring good luck so it’s called lucky money.

I’m just sharing one of the Chinese culture to those who don’t know the meaning of “red envelopes”.

Then Ang-Pau is malay spelling?

Both are the same,
Hung pao = mandarin
Ang pau = hokkien
But mandarin is the national language in Chinese

Hung Pao a traditional way to appreciate people around us. This give them special energy when they see the money. Haha.
