My 1st charity event
Today, I feel very honored to be able to follow a charity at San Damiano Boys Hostel in Kiulu, Sabah. This event was run by @veenang, @beverlyjoe & @chanelcalestus. A big thank you to our Steemit ambassador @danieldoughty who attended this event and making this event more successfull.
Other Steemit members who joined the event were @borneoairbrush @darryljonesjr @viverridae @verasj @celo769 @arwine @gelfire @angeljames @lauratommy @diddy89. A big shoutout to them and hope we could make another succesfull event again in the future.
Visiting the hostel makes me feel overwhelmed. Upon entering Don Damiano Boys Hostel, we were greeted by the hostel manager- Mr. Vincent Wong. Warm & friendly, he introduced us to the hostel staff & boys. There are 5 staff including Mr. Vincent Wong and 50 boys.
While we were there, we were entertained with a singing performance from @darryljonesjr, @angeljames and the boys. The boys were very excited to perform their acting. In addition, there also games and cake cutting to enliven this event. Cake cutting is carried out to celebrate Feast Day of St. Louis Marie De Montfort and people who celebrating their birthday in April.
It gives me a sense that the assistant must be practiced when anybody needs help. Finally, I'm also grateful that this charity activity has changed my mind to keep helping for those who needs help. We end this charity event successfully. Can't wait to join the next event.
