Little Island Successful Steem MeetUp – Labuan
Last night was another successful night for Labuan Steemians. Apart getting highly inspired new comers to our gathering, I have also gain more knowledge than I have expected.
Sign up session for my childhood friends =)
@diamondray our Steemit speaker had shared a very important subject which is How to Blog in Steemit. He prepared a Blogging 101 slides and prepares print outs for our reading and future reference. In Blogging 101 he talks about 6 points below. A very useful tool for minnow like me. 1. Methods for successful blogging - The Lasso Method & the Lure Method 2. Ideas on what to blog – Who are you and what do you love to do. A parent? A Musician? A Runner? A Manager? And so on.. 3. Mindmapping Ideas – Create and answer your own WH questions 4. Options when structuring a post 5. Writing process 6. And Apps for Steemit – the eSteem & steepshot He began by introducing a very well successful entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk and Muhammad Yunus. Both had started in diverse methods. Gary started off as a wine critic in Youtube and Muhammad Yunus started off by lending money to the poor without any financial security when Bangladesh suffered a famine in 1974.
As I read more about Gary Vaynerchuk & Muhammad Yunus, it gave me a moral insight that anybody in anywhere in this world can be successful as they do. All we need to begin with is to get the right tool and the right idea. I see Steemit is leading me to that direction.
Before we end, we had our open discussion and everyone communicates. Every corner of the room raised questions and shares information. We started with talking back to the basics of Steemit platform for the new comers to have better understanding. From how and who to follow, the trending tags and when to use it, the common pages in the blog page – Feed, Blog, Comment, Replies and Wallet. Then we linger a little longer to talk about Cryptocurrency, Blockchain and how it is connected to Steem Coin.
