Event by #steem-music: Small Changes
Yesterday, I was privileged to be invited to a private event by @calebleejl in #LiberalLatte. There, I also met @sireh, our Malaysian cartoonist who founded #Steem-Cartoon. To me, we were all strangers, strung together by one common voice, that is to enjoy music as one race - Malaysians, as one community, Steemians.
Performance by Zack and Abang Mohar
When I reached, Abang @mohar was introducing himself and sharing his experience playing the bamboo flute (seruling buluh).
And later, joined with @zulkiflisaadan to make music for the night.
After that, Abang @mohar was playing a solo which he composed. To me, the music sounded like a mash-up of Toccata & Fugue and Faded. A very fresh perspective of cross-over music reconstruction indeed!
After which, @Perennial (the MC for the night) made a request to Zack to sing Bintang, a song that made him famous.
His song was indeed a song full of his emotions. Of course, he has a very raspy voice that suits the song. In short, I couldn't have asked for a better performance from an established artiste. It was really enjoyable.

We all ended with a sing-along with everyone by singing More than Words.
Then came the closure
@Perennial asked, "How many of you have fallen in love because of music?" Which I find it true, as earlier on the day, I attended my friends' wedding. The whole ceremony would be dead boring had there not be music. In that picture, we have quite a number of Steemians, I daresay!
In short, yesterday was a good day well spent with wedding celebration and music community gathering.
