Health is More Important Than Wealth
With all the worldwide panic and ruckus revolving around COVID – 19, it is clear that health became the number one priority over anything else. People are finally realizing that health is a requirement to live happily since we cannot buy health with money, especially with the virus which has no cure. Similarly, the issue where certain organizations are willing to pay loads of money for volunteers to test for vaccines is deemed redundant for some people. This is because the volunteers would not be able to enjoy the money if the virus killed them. Therefore, without health, you cannot build wealth.
Ironically, successful people have these common habits which revolve around living a healthy lifestyle. They comprehend the significance of taking care of their health since the maximum level of productivity would not be achieved if they are ill. 44% of wealthy people wake up three hours before working, compared to 3% of poor people (Corley, 2010). Instead of checking their emails first, they will simply have breakfast and get some exercise. According to Corley, 70% of rich people eat fewer than 300 calories of junk food per day, but 97% of poor people eat more than the mark. Obviously, this is to warrant a longer lifespan which grants a prolong opportunity to earn more.
In conclusion, you cannot use money to escape fate. Putting too much attention and energy to chase wealth can be detrimental to our health and we no longer can enjoy and appreciate all the little things we have been blessed in life. It is time to spend time on what really matters to us like family and health. As the proverb says, nobody on their deathbed has ever said, “I wish I had spent more time at the office”.
