Desa Dairy Farm

This farm was first developed in 1980, and at that time the whole site was just a vast land covered with jungle. This farm took three long years before it is ready for arrival of the cattle.

Desa Dairy farm was establish in 1983. The first batch of the cattle was brought from new Zealand in the same year. This farm located at Masilau Kundasang Ranau 5000 feet from sea level. The size of farm is 315.75 acres in size, including farm1 and farm 2.

Around the year of 1990 until early 2000 Desa Cattle Dairy Farm provided milk for student in government school. The area that covrr is only Sabah. Particularly in ranau and few school in Kota Kinabalu area.

On the 5th June 2015, a major earthquake scaling magnitude 5.9 Richter has erupted. It affected some of the structures in the farm and by that time, the farm was immediately closed for tourism for some time due to safety reason .

In the month of May 2017, a big project to upgrade the kios and farm facilities has taken over for visitor benefits. The project wa fully completed in Disember 2017.
