Monday Not So Blue

Monday blues... that day of the week that we all dread to go through. Well, not everyone per say, but I’d say, for most people. So last Monday for me was like any other Monday, struggling to wake up early to get dressed for work and beat the traffic to town. Yes, I will admit that Monday is my least favourite day of the week.

But last Monday was different. I woke up feeling refreshed & energised, ready to start the week! (It’s not always I get up feeling this way, so better make the best out of it! So my day went on as usual but that evening I had an invitation to attend my niece’s 3 years old birthday party, a “superheroes” themed children’s party.

So of course there many kids around. They were running up and down the banquet hall, to the stage (attracted by the goodies displayed on the birthday table), there were kids everywhere and even children’s songs where being played at the background... for the entire night! By the way, some of the parents really did well, they really dressed their children in “superheroes” outfit... some were looking so cute, while others looked cool! We had a “Wonder Wowan”, “Superwoman”, “Superman”, “Princess Anna”, just to name a few. Too cute la!

So dinner was served. Then after dinner, we had.... IRONMAN & SPIDERMAN! Oh boy, I felt I a kid again! Not that I’m a big fan of superheroes, I just got excited when I saw the children’s reaction and felt their energy as the two superheroes made their entrance!

Total chaos and the screams of children’s excitement filled the room. They wanted to touch, shake hands, hug and take photos with these superheroes. Just watching the children’s faces lit up made my day! What a way to end my Monday, not so blue after all. Haha...

And you know what the best part is? FRIDAY is here again! The most anticipated day of the week, the day that everyone looks forward to.
