My dear fellow Steemians, yes I know its been a while since I last posted. I have preoccupied with work and other personal agendas. I may have been quiet or inactive for the past few weeks but, I have not forgotten my Steemit community and family😚. I hope everyone is enjoying and relaxing on this sunny Sunday!

For today's post, I simply would like to take this opportunity to call upon all our Steemians for your kind support and generosity to give and to help the boys at San Damiano Boys Hostel located at Kiulu, Sabah. This boys hostel is part of the Sabah's Rural Youth Development Programme which was adopted under the wings of the Montfort Youth Training Centre since 2011.

The hostel was previously managed by the Franciscan Sisters to provide residential care to 60 (Form 1 to Form 6) school-going youth who would find it impossible to walk to the school due to the distances from their village homes.

A Visit to the Hostel

About 2 weeks ago, @veenang @danieldoughty @viverridae @chanelcalestus @matthewdoughty drove all the way to the San Damiano Boys Hostel which was located about 41 kilometres fmom Kota Kinabalu. There, they were met with the warden, Mr Vincent, who was in charge of the hostel. Mr Vincent was gracious enough and took time to explain to the group how and what this youth hostel and programme came about and how it has continued to enrich, benefit and essential for the community in Kiulu.

How Can YOU Support the Charity Drive?

So, the charity drive is coming up real soon and we dearly need all the help and donation we can get. To help support this drive simply we ask and encourage all Steemians to write and create their own individual post in regards to this charity drive (just like what I'm posting now). For those who are keen to join the experience, just follow the proposed itinerary below:-

Time: 0900hrs (Meet at Tamparuli Shell Station at 0830hrs)

Here are some of the proposed program for that day.

Activities: Welcoming Singing Song by the Boys, Donation Gift Handover follow with Tea Break, Prelude Performance by @darryljonesjr and his band for acoustics percussion/teaching basic introduction to playing guitar and percussion. There will be some fun games arranged by @chanelcalestus @haroldmark86 @beverlyjoe and others too. Finally, game prize presentation follow by prayer before lunch.
