What? Success?
“Success is an illusion”. Do you agree? I am literally agree and literally disagree about this term. In addition, we grew up with this kind of stigma. "Success is not a destination, but a journey”. Raise your hand if you always heard this quote in your life, cause you are my destiny. Haha!!! I am kidding. Of course all of you have heard about this quote. Now, let’s move into serious content about success.
Does being wealthy means success? Does being an excellent student means success? Does being married to someone means success? Does being a favourable employee means success? Most of the people gamble their own life into something they do not certain at all. Why? Because success is an illusion. We never know whether all the hardship, struggle and happiness we gain throughout our life will bring us to success.
Anyway, success is differ to everyone according to the condition of themselves. As for someone that was lack in financial, they will target their goal to be wealthy. They think being wealthy will make their life easier. Next, for student who always has low performance in academic, they will try their best to be the highest in academic achievement because they do not want to suffer for being an idiot. It is because, people nowadays tends to compare their child to other’s child based on their performance and achievement at school.
Besides, being single looks like a crime for some people. Do we need to get married as soon as we finished our studies? In our community, there is still people that have the classic thinking about woman should got married after they done with their studies or the woman do not have to study as their husband will support themselves financially after they got married. I do not agree with this thinking, but i remembered some lines from a drama that i had watched. The lines are, “ every woman has two chances in life”, “first is a chance to do well for yourself” and the second one is “a chance to meet a successful husband”. I think i will be more agree toward these terms. It is true, we never know the fate of our life.
But, it does not mean for us to stop dreaming about our future. Plus, being a contract worker for some people in some department, they find it is tiring for them to always please their boss in order to have a fixed position in a company. So, what is your opinion about the meaning of success? In my opinion, being able to love yourself is the real success. It is because, when you feel grateful for being yourself, you will do any possible things that will promote your life into something beneficial. You will take a good care of your health. You will enjoy every experience you had whether it is good or bad. You will be the best version of yourself and always appreciate the people around you. In life, there is no right timing or wrong timing for something to happen to us or for someone to approach us. Everything will fit according to the plan of God. Thank you.
