Alternative Sustainable Financing Mechanism

One of the conversation I had with @bitrocker2020 several month ago was on the use for steemit for a social enterprise that I founded known as Borneo Conservancy

Steemit is an ideal platform especially for organization that needed funds to run their projects. There could be situation were gone are the days where fundraising and donation is the avenue for funds .

Today a lot of association is depending on donation and membership fee. This old ways will shift if these entity uses steemit platform.

I have been in steemit for several months now and see how Steemit have enriched not only myself on personal level but also I have received monetary gains too. I can't wait to get Borneo Conservancy on steemit, hopefully by next month after discussion with other partners. We could implement more of our activities as we can have alternative sustainable financing mechanism to remain effective.

@bitrocker2020 and I have also in the past discuss with @borneoairbrush to have Tamparuli Living Arts Centre to get aboard on steemit as this will be a good platform the have members shared their content have so to improve their lifelihood and ensure that TALAC operational cost can covered through a steemit account. We are now just waiting for their committee to make the move. We will see how we can help them further from there.

Today, I had the chance to present Steemit to 3 other non profit organization, all this is made possible through arrangement by Dr. Elaine Kong, President of Sabah Society.

I honestly think it's a matter of time that NGO, civil society and social enterprise would jump aboard on steemit.

Steemit is a much better way to showcase all the goodwork that non profit does, sourcing fund through awareness, education and collaborative projects with other Steemian. So much better than begging for funds or applying grants through public, corporate and government.

Or perhaps as alternative source of fund raising to implement their project.

Looking forward to introduce other group of society to get aboard on steemit.

Just imagine the amount of good work can be done because steemit platform. I'm loving the possibility.

Why Am I Here

Daniel Doughty loves his community and ideas but hates writing. Steemit is a brilliant platform that would help him express his thoughts and helps him practise his writing, he hopes to get better at it.

He is now a self proclaim steemit evangelist and preacher , encouraging his community in Borneo to use steemit as a bridge to the outside world to build awareness, showcase talents and most importantly to create wealth for themselves.
