Food Surplus is food that is to be found in excessive and needs to be discarded soon enough before the new stocks arrive. It is also a surplus is the amount of an asset or resource that exceeds the portion that is utilized.

So how does this Startup works?

They form a partnership with cafes in Penang and these cafes become the supplier of food surplus to Food Plus. Cakes and Pastries were received are close to expiry as they have at least 3 days lifespan and still have the good taste in it.

Besides that, the cake and pastries sold under Food Plus are safe to consume and as well they are way cheaper that you can save up to 88% off on Food you bought in their platform.

Food Plus sells this food on Facebook, to college/Uni students, Low-cost flat, co-working space in Penang and as well in events too.

Moreover, the food that can't be sold finish a day before it expires, Food + will give them out for free to the street people or NGO that accepts them for breakfast or lunch. All of the food sold in Food+ are save to consume and up to date, we have received no reports of selling awful food to the consumer as we take hygiene and quality of food seriously. We handle the food with precaution.
