My Restaurant Review - K678 Charcoal Korean BBQ

I took my wife and daughter for a Korean Food threat to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday. The restaurant is located at Plaza 333 at Penampang, about 10 minutes drive from Donggongon Town or 25 minutes from Kota Kinabalu City by car. My wife has dined at the restaurant before and she highly recommended that we have our dinner there. We came around 6.00PM and there were only a few customers inside the restaurant, but by 7.00PM more customers came and the restaurant was almost filled with people. So, if you are interested to dine in this restaurant, come around 6.00PM if you don't want to wait for a free table.

We were welcomed and greeted by their friendly waiter, as we sat down at the table, the waiter is already on standby to take our orders. He gave us the menus and waited patiently as we chose our desired menus. It only took about 20 minutes when they started to bring in the food that we have selected.

We ordered the BBQ Set B, a single small bowl of rice, bibimbap and a jug of cold green tea. The raw meat for the BBQ is a combination of Chicken, Pork and Lamb.

The set that we ordered I think is sufficient for 2 to 3 people, depending on how heavy you guys eat.

A group of South Koreans was sitting next to our table, so for a moment there I thought we were in Seoul, LOL. I was thinking, if the Koreans were there to dine, maybe the food is almost as good as how it is cooked and served in their homeland too. Or, since that is the only Korean restaurant in Penampang, they have no choice but to dine there. But after tasting the food myself, I think it was really tasty.

Overall, the price is just right (RM100++) and we were quite satisfied with the foods and services. If I was given the choice to dine there again, I will definitely come. It has a nice environment to chill out and talk with your family or friends while barbecuing. But next time I come, I would like to try The Set C, Beef and other side dishes.
