Don't Watch TV

How many times have you heard the following?
Don't watch TV, read books instead.
Don't watch TV, the rich hardly watches any TV.
Don't watch TV, it makes your mind stupid.

But is it good advice?
What if I could gain knowledge from TV much faster instead of books?
Or watching interviews of the rich sharing their experience to get rich?
Or watching DIY programmes like baking or handicraft?

The underlying message of "Don't watch TV" is simple.
Spend your time productively.
