Maritam Fruits

But we (dusun ethnic) call it Moingitom.
It's rambutan types of fruits but had roughly hairy that different from rambutan. It had purple colour fruits but when the fruits too ripe, it become dark purple almost like a black colour.

My friend brought it and let's me to try. Seem I had see this fruits before but it was long time ago. It's hard to plants and you can see the trees rarely. Some say it's wild rambutan because it can grow without you plant it. This fruits were picked from Tamparuli.

The Shape.

Characteristics like the rambutan and the shapes too like rambutan. Oval with a roughly hairy fruits.

The fruits features is like a "Rambutan" but had thick skin. It's easy to open the fruits, just twist and pull it. As you can see, there was a slight yellow white colour inside which is the contain.

The taste.

Sweet, yummy and juices. And the fruits contained stick to the seed, it's difficult to clear the contain.

There still more native rare fruits that you can see in Sabah, The Borneo Island. Come and visit here to see and taste it for youself.
