What if you could receive something equivalent in value as an “Angpow?”

For the Chinese it’s a tradition that the married ones will give away Red Packet or Angpow, not only during Chinese New Year but also on special occasions such as weddings, graduations or the birth of a baby.
Chinese gives red packet as a symbol of giving out good qi or energy, happiness and luck. Putting money in red packet is expected to bestow more happiness and blessings on the receiver. Usually these monies were either spent or end up on the gambling table, but most of the time it will be put into savings.
Recently, there is a Cryptocurrency frenzy and I thought why not give away Cryptos as Angpows?
Well, money you can give/spend and then it’s gone but cryptos you can keep and will grow in value over time.
Sounds crazy right? But I don’t think it’s impossible.
These days, angpows in Malaysia comes in denomination of between RM3 to RM200. You can definitely set a certain denomination for Cryptos too.
Money or cash carries a certain value and these values fluctuates in the currency exchange. The same applies to Cryptos. The difference between money and cryptos market is that cryptos are usually highly speculative and can be volatile, like the stock market. And that means it does have an investment potential.
Money are usually put in banks and they will be invested to grow interest over time. Hence, they became your savings for rainy day or for the future. Depending on the returns, the value may vary.
Cryptos can grow too and higher in value compared to currency. If the market is managed well, it can be a lucrative return for those who invested in it.
Having said this, I wonder who will start the trend? I would love to try if I have that much of a cryptos (or SBD!) to give away. I have read news of how some individuals or companies gives away cryptos to lure potential investors to open account and trade. If that's so, why not give cryptos as angpow so they can open the account and keep it as an investment instead?
If you know anyone that has started the trend, do tag me @angiechin28. Or else, I could possibly be the FIRST from #teammalaysia to even thought or write about this crazy idea, lols! I guess I can be nutty at times.
So, anyone within the Steemit community has already started (or plan on) giving out SBD as angpow?

Crazy idea coming through: Maybe we can start something like Team Malaysia Angpow Initiative where generous Steemians can donate SBD angpows (any amount) and all the SBDs will be pooled together and these angpows can be used for the followings:
Donations to deserving causes/communities or,
Organise a nice small gathering for Steemians and their families for CNY.
Or both!
Since cryptos can be used to invest (for personal savings) and be donated away as gift/donation, I stumbled upon THIS awesome site while googling and I think, in due time they will definitely on track to be similar to existing giving sites.
So why not explore giving out cryptos as angpows instead of cold hard cash?. That way we can also save resources that are used to print money. Think about it.
Nothing is impossible if explored well.
