15 Reasons Why I like Chinese New Year More Than Other Festivals

I thought of writing something fun and cheeky to celebrate the start of Chinese New Year. Tell me which reasons you can relate to in the comments!

1) No one will judge me if I went on a shopping spree buying new clothes

2) Blessed with loads and loads of prosperity as a result of attending multiple Chinese New Year dinners organized by multiple companies

3) Instead of receiving gifts I might dislike (ahem Christmas), I can buy whatever I want with the money received through red packets

4) Perfect time to bond with relatives who are usually geographically distanced.

5) The holiday is a light festival on its own

6) Literally, everybody wears my favorite color

7) There are more snacks than I can remember their names

8) Secretly laugh at Chinese New Year greetings delivered by non-mandarin speaker friends

9) And when you are eating too much, you can detox with the official cny fruit

10) or some healthy seeds and nuts

11) How we are encouraged at playing with firecrackers!

12) No sleep .. cause everyone is busy gambling and drinking till dawn
