Next stop... Canada
Well, first off let me say thank you to the steemit community for all of the encouragement for my wife today as she took her Citizenship exam.
Just to let you all know, she passed, with only 2 wrong answers, one about the war of 1812, and one about a bill that the Quebec legislation passed in the 1960's... So that's great. She's in.
Next step is the official ceremony, hopefully at the end of May, or early June, then it's done, she's one of us. She'll be drinking tree juice, playing a good ol' game of skatey-punchy, and riding an antler cow to work soon, just like the rest of us!
So anyways, that's done, and we're glad the whole process is over. So thanks again for the support and encouragement, steemit rocks!

Yeah, she can run for office now. Although you need to be very corrupt to hold office I think 😋

1812 is a long time ago. I don't think I can remember that far back :)
It is a while back alright! And some of the history is written differently, depending on what side of the border the text book is on!
congrats to your wife on becoming a citizen. My local area hosted a citizenship ceremony as part of our Canada 150 celebrations. It was the first time I had ever seen one. Very moving to watch the new Canadians being so proud to become citizens.

STOPCongrats, If I took the test I can't be sure if I would pass it. I really suck at Canadian history. I got Philippine in-laws waiting to immigrate, they have good skills and speak English quite well but this latest craze and rush of importing Muslims that have no English and few skills cut in front ahead my in-laws who are waiting well over a year even with sponsors. Go figure? Wrong line up?
I told my wife a couple years ago, I was going to drive her to Minnesota so she could run across into Manitoba, then she would be on the Trudeau "fast track" list for citizenship!
I told my in law to wear a Habib a she would get preferential first class flight and the cheat sheets for the exam and a translator if she needed one.
