We may have settled from lands far and wide

Some of us born here, others later arrived

Some have faced immeasurable justices on land the eyes cannot see

While others faced these injustices in backyards behind your Gum Tree

History cannot be erased but it can be healed

We can make a stance to unite in a peaceful shield

While we spread vegemite on our toast and drink beers with fellow blokes

We scoff down our kebabs and enjoy a pad thai with our mates

It's time to reconcile, to commemorate, to live life now in a respectful way

To link our hands together in a colourful display of unity

Where you and I only see souls and not a prejudiced reality

Let these perceived differences melt away in the scorching summer's sun
