The Eating Station

Today we blog about the wonderful establishment Eating Station located at 269A Robinsons Rd, Ravenhall VIC 3023.

Eating Station has a wonderful setting of native grasses and plants which blend into the outdoor seating area and kids play equipment which makes for a beautiful setting while you eat.

We delved into the usual big breakfast and at $19.90 is a steal! the BB consisted of Bacon Rashes, Toast, two Sausages, Mushrooms and we swapped the beans for a hashbrown.

But first how was the coffee and orange juice? OJ was freshly made and pulpy which is what I love about OJ! the coffee a wonderful smooth blend and went down a treat.

how was breakfast?

here's the thing, it had highs and lows and I am not too sure how to judge it but it's not fresh. this could be because we ordered at 1pm. The meal itself was fine, but I think it may have been prepared in large quantities and left in a baymarine due to the popularity of the venue it's understandable and this is not unique many cafes do this.

the meal wasn't bad but the flaws of the dish were the toast and the eggs (personal preference for sour dough) the eggs were nice but just didn't reach the mark.

the Bacon was cooked well but as it had been sitting there for a while it was somewhat dry.

our verdict? 6/10 as it wasn't a bad meal but fresh is always best.

when it comes to value for money it was spot on, $19.90 for a big breakfast like this one is value for cash and I would recommend popping in as we will be back as the other meals which are cooked freshly looked a million bux!

Eating Station is a wonderful family friendly cafe and scores a 10/10 for accommodating parents with prams, staff were friendly and helpful so yes this is a great place to go for brunch.
