Trekking Nepal (Part 5) - New Friends & Blue Sky
After a light breakfast with the cleanest fluffiest dog I'd seen in weeks, it was time to hit the road. (Yes I take a lot of dog photos... waddayagonnadoaboutit?)
Due to the landslide delays, we did our best to make up some lost time! The jeeps that were stuck on the upper side of the landslides were still running back and forth between towns, albeit now a little more expensive due to their fuel supply being cut off. After a bit of back and forth negotiating the price for our group, they said they would do it cheaper if they were able to pick up other people along the way to make up the difference. That's where I these two new life long friends.
At the end of a day of sharing a Jeep and a night of sharing a few bottles of Khukri rum, we made the call to stick with Raj and his guide Tilak for the rest of the journey. Nothing quite builds a friendship like a shared life changing adventure and I'm sure I'll stay friends with these two for the rest of my days on this big blue ball.
The next morning we opened the doors of our room and were greeted with this!! For the first time since we set off, the clouds had cleared and we got our first glimpse of the snow capped mountains. It was at this point the excitement about what we were about to experience really kicked in.

Let's spread some across Steemit! If you want to comment but don't know what to say, just tell me 3 things you’re grateful for today and why. If you’re struggling to come up with ideas try:
- Something temporary (your coffee, the sunshine)
- A person
- An object
