Bad news for Steem Holders
For those of you that held off taking part in the Vice Industry Token ICO because you were going to be airdropped a tonne of them for holding steem, I got some bad news for you all.
As of this morning, VICE have decided to no longer provide a Steem air drop. They figured now that they aren't working with an SMT, why should they reward people just for holding Steem.
But the good news is that anyone who HAS taken part in the Crowdsale, they will be giving a 50% bonus to reward the loyal supporters.
Personally, as a small time investor I think this is good. Why should the likes of Dan and Ned and Haejin and Bernie get given a massive stake into a project that they will more than likely just dump and royally Fornicate the value of the tokens for those that actually bought in the ICO.

Also, in another bit of good news, Playboy have announced that they will be setting up a crypto portal to pay for their content, and VICE will be one of the tokens being accepted as payment.
The company has also recently announced that they have their Minimum Viable product ready to launch in April, so all is looking good for having an actual working product that should be generating income for holders of Vice.

This is great news as far as I'm concerned. I bought into this ICO and sure the bonus is going to be much more than any airdrop ever would be.
I do hope that steem gets the SMT protocol sorted out soon though. I think we'll start missing out on other airdrops.
Cheers mate. I think I come off a little worse off, but I think in the long run it'll weed out people that would put the project at risk. People that really shouldn't hold so much influence.
It will certainly be a good idea to get SMT's up and running sooner rather than later.
