Are you missing your Votes?
Sorry but this isn't an inspirational post, its actually a kick up the ass.
With Steemvote down for the next few day, a lot of people are going to be getting increasingly antsy about much smaller rewards as the vast majority of us are going to need to be manually curating and that means you're going to need to produce some decent content to get those votes.
But this is a wake up call to everything I had wrote about previously, you need to build your active network so that people ACTIVELY think "hey i need to look up XYZ post" and not just rely on autovote services.
Also, I'd like to hope that people reading this aren't going around hasseling those large upvoting users such as @ausbitbank trying to remind him to vote on your post. This would be very disappointing.
He supports an absolute TONNE of people and he's going to miss people. He does so much for the platform, so he doesn't need the added headache of people looking to score a few more dollars. Leave the man be!!!
So get out there and make connections, EARN your rewards and create some real top notch content. Just because Steemvoter is down doesn't mean that this place doesn't work.
It sure is a reality check on how much quality and engagement you are putting in, and how many people actually visit your posts.
There is no substitute for community engagement.

I honestly think it might be a good thing for the content of the site if auto votes carried no reward as people do not, as you have pointed out, have to produce quality, just quantity, to get paid. But then I have not been around long enough to have a valid opinion on the matter.

People can now take the time to actually engage in people's efforts and make some quality comments to generate conversation. Wooo fun times ahead 😜
Well said! It's a good time to rely on the merit of your work and not your popularity. I welcome this as it creates more of an even playing field for everyone striving to write content that is worthy of being appreciated.

It is good to manually curate, I don't do enough of it. Its reconnecting to our steemit roots.

Have people actually really seriously been bugging @ausbitbank and co about upvotes? :S Or were you pre-emptively telling them to back off?
It was a pre-emptive ass whooping knowing what some people around here can be like. But I doubt those people are actually reading my posts so it was probably a waste of time
