Wait, how can it be real money when it can be copied by anyone. It might not be easy, but it can be done. Either way, I like the idea of physical steem, so people who don't understand it might get in.

What I meant was that it has the same status as a normal Euro coin or Dollar coin. But ... world wide traded, that sound interesting. I'm not against the idea at all, just scared of new currencies.
Your country's fiat is what you should really be scared of ^^ Research fractional reserve banking.

Oh I know about fiat and the scam. But I mean, if you bring a new currency without any backing or limit supply, then its as bad as the fiat currency. I should just look more into this new coin before I assume stuff.
It's not a new currency, it's 1 oz of silver. Pure and simple. It may, or may not, gain additional value as a collectors edition over time. There's a limited minting (1,500, and numbered), but that's secondary. For me, it's 1oz of silver.

Oooh, it's one of those. Yeah I think I have a couple lying around. Some gold coins too. (I'am a coin collector). Then its a lot worth then it looks. That is great.
