Drawing Closer
Isn’t it amazing when you read the Word of God & God just drops a verse into your heart.
“ Draw near to God and He will draw near to You “ ( James 4:8 )
To me that verse itself is an amazing promise to all of us. As we open ourselves up to the Lord, He opens up to us and If we come to Him in submission, repentance, and brokenness, He rushes in with forgiveness, love, and faithfulness.
I realise that in my journey , God uses the situations and difficulties that we go through to fully get our attention so that we are able to draw close to Him alone. Even when you’re in the most toughest despair or brokenness , you draw close to Him. God wants to comfort you. It’s sometimes in that moments when God says “ Come to me “
Even the greatest of sins and failure can lead us close to Christ having an attitude of humble repentance we all can have an intimate relationship with the Lord. Isn’t that amazing?
Know that Satan will misuse the very situations that the Lord can utilize to draw you to Himself. Satan can do the most evil of evil things so that you stray away from the Lord BUT Don’t let the enemy win the battle. Instead, “resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
God has won the victory for you and I.
