This is good! Whoever brought that idea to your company is a good HR personnel. We do the "eating together" stuff a lot in my office. And that made my colleagues and I bond a lot to the point that in every decision we take, we look out for each other like a family.
Well, there's always a few groups who eat lunch together. But so far this is the biggest aside from the company wide gatherings. Also looking forward to having an extended family at work. Thanks @camilus for your comment.
